Crossroads of America Airshow

The weekend of October 28-29, 2023, eight scouts and four adults scouters headed north to spend the weekend volunteering at, as well as attending, the Crossroads of America Air Show held at the Indianapolis Regional Airport. Scouts camped at Camp Belzer in Lawrence, Indiana in the evening, shuttling over to the airport during the day. Scouts spent 4 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday volunteering at the Ed Martin tent in the VIP area. Scouts got to show off their knowledge of electronics and circuits to lots of people stopping by the tent!

When not volunteering, the scouts got to enjoy a world-class aviation show featuring a lineup of top aviation performers, including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the world’s finest precision jet demonstration team. Scouts who attended received lots of free gear, including t-shirts, water bottles, lanyards, pens,  a commemorative neckerchief, and jet-shaped stress balls! And as a bonus, the scouts got to meet some Blue Angel pilots, including an Eagle Scout who signed paraphernalia for his fellow scouts!
