Turkey Run State Park

The weekend of April 28-30, 2023 13 scouts and 3 adult leaders drove the 75 miles northwest to Turkey Run State Park in Parke County, IN. Turkey Run is the state’s second largest state park and is known for it’s amazing hiking trails, so it should come as no surprise that the scouts spent the majority of their time during this campout hiking the various trails that the park has to offer.

One of the scouts’ favorite parts of the trip was crossing the giant suspension bridge over Sugar Creek. Another favorite part was climbing up the boulders in the beautiful Rocky Hollow Falls Canyon Nature Preserve. Everyone definitely got their steps in during this trip! And of course, we had a lot of fun.
