Video Game Lock-In
On Friday, December 16, the troop held their annual Video Game Lock-In at Grace Baptist Church. Scouts started arriving at the church at 8 pm, quickly filling the fellowship hall with PCs, Playstations, Xboxes, Switches, and even some old fashioned game boards. Scouts, and a few brave parent volunteers, enjoyed a smorgasbord of chips, cookies, candies, and even a Chipotle burrito bar, all while playing their favorite games with one another. And thanks to the wonders of modern technology, the boys were even able to play online games with some of the scouts that had to miss the lock-in due to illness!
At 7 am Saturday morning, parents picked up their blurry eyed sons, most of who only got a few hours of sleep and a few who made it all night without sleeping at all! Tired and a little grumpy, but all scouts still agreed that troop’s annual lock-in is hands down one of their favorite events.
