On Monday, April 8, Monroe County will experience almost 4 minutes of totality during the solar eclipse. Units from all over the US will be invited to attend a unique event at Hoosier Trails Council’s Maumee Scout Reservation filled with activities centered around this amazing event, including a camera obscura, sun prints, a fire building challenge, a solar cooking demonstration, solar eclipse geometry, fishing, hiking, and more! And because Indiana weather is unpredictable at best we will have a range of alternate activities planned in the case of bad weather!
