This year’s Spring Break trip will be to one of the U.S.’s most well-known river cities, St. Louis. Located right on the Mississippi River, this city is steeped in history. It is where Meriwether Lewis and William Clark started their famous expedition in 1804, as well as home to the 1904 World’s Fair. It is also home to the iconic, 630-ft. Gateway Arch, known as “The Gateway to the West” built in the 1960s, in honors of Lewis and Clark.
In addition to visiting the Arch, we will be checking out several of St. Louis’s most well known attractions, including the St. Louis Science Center, the City Museum, and the St. Louis Zoo, the 2nd largest zoo in the country. We will no doubt have LOTS of fun activities to fill our visit to this great city!
Estimated cost is $250 (cost includes cabin rental, ticket to city museum, ticket to arch, food at campsite and $15 per day for eating out).
Scout will be staying at Beaumont Scout Reservation in Jordan Cabin (Capacity - 20, 10 bunkbeds, Woodstove heat, Fireplace, Refrigerator, cookstove, and dry sink).
