COPE course & Air Force Museum
The weekend of May 10-12, 2024 Troop 148 headed down to Camp Hugh Taylor Birch in the Tecumseh Council of Yellow Springs, Ohio for an adrenaline-fueled weekend filled. We began by visiting the prestigious National Museum of the United States Air Force, where we learned about the history of the US aviation armed forces up close! From vintage aircraft to modern marvels, there was something for everyone at this awe-inspiring museum.
But the excitement didn't stop there! Because the scouts also had a chance to tackle the COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) High & Low Courses at Camp Hugh. The course is designed to push participants out of their comfort zones, fostering teamwork, leadership, and personal growth in a thrilling outdoor setting. It was indeed a weekend that all scouts who attended will fondly remember for many years to come!
